How much does a website cost?
The cost of a website depends on its size, functionality and what you need it to achieve. I provide a clear quotation before any work begins, based on your individual requirements rather than trying to fit your business into a standard package.
How long does it take to design and build a website?
Most websites take around four to eight weeks from the start of the project to launch, depending on the size of the site and how quickly content and feedback are available. Larger websites, ecommerce sites and more complex projects can take longer.
Do you only design websites for businesses in Yorkshire?
No. I’m based in Whitby, North Yorkshire and work with businesses throughout Yorkshire, but I also work with clients across the UK. Most of the design and development process can be handled by phone, email or video call, so location isn’t a barrier.
Will my new website be optimised for Google?
SEO is considered from the beginning of every website project. I look at site structure, page titles, headings, content, internal linking, mobile usability, speed and the technical foundations Google needs to crawl and understand your website. No designer can guarantee a particular Google position, but your website will be built with search visibility in mind.
Will I be able to update the website myself?
Yes. I build websites using WordPress, so you’ll be able to update text, images and other content yourself if you want to. I can also provide ongoing support and website maintenance if you’d rather leave the technical side to me.
Can you redesign my existing website?
Absolutely. If your current website looks dated, is difficult to use, isn’t generating enquiries or simply no longer represents your business, I can redesign it while considering your existing content, SEO and Google rankings. Where URLs need to change, redirects and existing search visibility should be considered as part of the process.
